Monkey Island & Gamboa Rainforrest Adventure

Gamboa is a small town where Gatun Lake meets Chagres River. It was

created in 1911 to allocated workers during the construction of the Panama

Canal.

In this trip we will navigate part of Gatun Lake until we reach Monkey Island,

there will share a nice experience with these fun animals in their natural

habitat.

In Monkey Island there are four species of monkeys: cariblancos, tamarins,

whitefaces and howlers. In addition, there are more than 300 species of birds

that inhabit the island and are commonly studied by local and foreign

scientists.

Upon returning, we will make a stop at El Charco Trail, to appreciate more

about the rainforest and hike a 0.8 km moderate trail and surrounded by the

lush nature that characterizes Gamboa.

En este viaje navegaremos parte del lago Gatún hasta llegar a la Isla de los Monos,

allí compartirá una linda experiencia con estos divertidos animales en su estado natural

hábitat.

Al regreso, haremos una parada en el Sendero El Charco, para apreciar más

sobre la selva tropical y caminar por un sendero moderado de 0.8 km y rodeado por el

naturaleza exuberante que caracteriza a Gamboa.
